The Milk Market was built in 1830 in the centre of the region that was then Limerick’s Irishtown, using the foundations of Limerick’s city walls as for two of it’s own. Country produce is still sold in the originally agricultural market on Saturdays, and on Fridays it becomes a market for Arts and Crafts. Buskers are common on both these days.
