Killeen Golf Club is set in the scenic and peaceful countryside of County Kerry. Other 1850s golfers included the Earl of Eglinton (Captain, Prestwick 1854). The present golf club was founded in 1883, when the Highland Light Infantry was stationed in the adjoining military camp.
