McKernan Handweavers was established by an Irish/German couple who have settled in Tuamgraney and sell their own creations. These include scarves and shawls hand-woven from lambswool, alpaca and silk, lambswool rugs and tweed fabrics made into garments such as waistcoats and jackets. The folding basket is a unique design, individually cut and finished by our team of skilled woodworkers. It is made of Ash, which mellows with age to a warm patina. Beautiful on its own as a decorative centre piece, or used for fruit, flowers, pot pourri, bread etc. When folded flat and in their presentation boxes, the baskets are easily stored and perfect for gift wrapping and posting....

Five km west on the road from Bunratty on the N18 road there is a turn left for Ballycasey craft workshops which provide facilities and a setting for craft workers who may be seen in action there. The crafts include jewellery, leatherwork, patchwork, hand-weaving, woodturning, basket-weaving and screen printing....
